The ADHD community actually encourages self-diagnosis, especially in adults! It is hard or even impossible to get diagnosed with adult ADHD if you weren’t diagnosed as a child because the medical system sucks. And if your psych doesn’t work in pediatrics then you probably know more about ADHD and how it affects you than they do.
